Improving Network Reliability and Security for a Local Laundromat

Overview:
TotalScope Technologies helped a local laundromat eliminate constant network outages and strengthen its overall technology environment. The business needed a more reliable setup for daily operations, better computer security, and improved physical security across the property.

Challenge:
The client was experiencing frequent network outages that disrupted operations and created frustration for both staff and customers. Their existing setup relied on consumer-grade networking equipment that was not built for business use, and their computers needed better protection and management. They also wanted to improve site security with cameras and audio alerts.

Solution:
We replaced the existing networking equipment with enterprise-grade hardware and installed three access points to improve wireless coverage throughout the building. We also added hardline network connections wherever possible and implemented a 4G failover backup connection to help ensure uninterrupted service during outages.

Next, we upgraded the computer systems and installed antivirus and RMM software to keep devices secure, monitored, and up to date. Later, we returned to install three new cameras and two automated announcement loudspeakers to improve security and help create a safer environment for the business.

Result:
The laundromat now has a more stable, secure, and business-ready technology environment. The upgraded network reduced outage risk, the computer systems are better protected, and the added security systems improved overall visibility and safety.
